Welcome to our home
Here's the story
The Baltimore Grill opened its doors for business in the spring of 1927 at Connecticut and Atlantic Avenues with a dining area seating about 35 - 40 persons, and a half-moon shaped bar with 25 or so stools. The menu featured some pasta dishes, excellent fried seafood, a small selection of sandwiches and of course the now world renown 12 inch Pan Pizza. Attracting locals and of course vacationers, the place was already busy day and night. Reasonable pricing and tantalizing food, made Tony’s the plate to go.
In 1965 urban renewal forced the Grill to close at Conn and ATL, and within a few months, we moved to our current location at Iowa and ATL. Some major renovations and need equipment and refrigeration were placed on April 1st, 1966, the grand opening day, which was successful with a strong following and a whole new clientele. Grill flourished with constant lines of anxious patrons wanting to try the fare summer business meant lines every night for 5-6 hours, and in the offseason lines, every weekend was commonplace
On July 12th, 2017, the business was sold at auction to the now owners Velocity MGT inc. New renovations, like seating flooring, lightning, equipment were instituted. Our purpose was to conserve and to never change any recipes, to add some new items always keeping the quality, pricing, cleanliness as a top priority and moving forward, hoping to serve Atlantic City and the surrounding communities for a long, long time!
